A local sports complex now has more room for post-game celebrations.
The Sports Center of Richmond, known as SCOR, recently unveiled a 3,000-square-foot sports bar and lounge addition to its eight-acre campus near the Diamond.
The space overlooks SCOR’s new indoor turf field, which was part of an almost $800,000 expansion completed late last year.
The completion of the third field and the lounge gets the facility closer to owner Mark Grossman’s original vision for SCOR, which he founded in 2006.
In addition to soccer leagues, SCOR hosts the River City Sports and Social Club (which offers dodge ball and other adult sports), and runs lacrosse, field hockey and corn hole leagues, among other activities.
Grossman also runs sports insurance company Monument Sports Group.

Congratulations to Mark and the Team at SCOR. The new field played host to the River City Rotary’s Corn Hole competition which benefitted Richmond Cycling Corps. It is a terrific facility and the management team is truly committed to engaging the local community. We wish them continued success!
