Two of University of Richmond’s major donors have cut another big check.

Paul and Anne-Marie Queally donated $10 million toward the construction of UR’s new center for admission and career services, the school announced Monday. The building will house the offices of admission, financial aid and employer development.

The school also announced a $2 million pledge toward the project by a group of additional donors. The building will be named after the Queallys and will be near the campus’s River Road entrance.

The development part of UR’s “Fulfilling the Promise” campaign, which aims to fund projects in the university’s strategic plan. The campaign also aims to provide money for the UR Summer Fellowship fund.

Since launching in February, the campaign has raised $137 million of its $150 million goal, the school said in a news release.

Local donors to the campaign include Anne S. and R. Lewis Boggs, Jane B. and Austin Brockenbrough III, Jacquelyn K. Brooks, Carolee D. and Frederick H. Hall, Wanda J. and Allen B. King, Susan G. and G. Robert Quisenberry, and Camilla B. and Philip S. Rohrbach, according to the release.

The Queallys have donated $20 million to the campaign to date. Both graduated from UR in 1986. Their name is also on Queally Hall, a wing of UR’s Robins School of Business.

Paul Queally is co-president of New York private equity firm Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe.
