Accountants don’t typically get much downtime during tax season.

But accounting firm Elliott Davis took a short breather last week to show off its new downtown office on the 10th floor of Riverfront Plaza’s west tower.

The firm moved into the 11,000-square-foot space in December after leaving its office on Westerre Parkway.

The South Carolina-based firm has more than 30 employees in Richmond.

In December, Elliott Davis acquired local accounting firms Valderas & Fishel and VanHuss & Associates.

Liz Kalooky, who heads the firm’s practice growth team, said that it added four employees in the past couple of weeks and that the firm might soon expand to the entire floor to accommodate future growth.

Richmond-based Dallan Construction prepared the space.

Elliott Davis was represented by CBRE | Richmond’s Malcolm Randolph in signing the 12-year lease. Dominion Realty Partners’ Michael Campbell represented the property owner, Hines, a Texas-based REIT.

CBRE | Richmond took over leasing duties at Riverfront Plaza in September from Dominion Realty Partners, not long after negotiations began for the Elliott Davis space.

Riverfront Plaza’s east and west towers combine for 930,000 square feet. Other major tenants include Hunton & Williams, LeClair Ryan, BB&T, UBS and Deloitte.
