That didn’t take long.

Less than a week after it was listed, a sale is already pending on the home of former governor and first lady Bob and Maureen McDonnell.

The Wyndham home’s status was listed as pending as of Monday on the Central Virginia Regional Multiple Listing Service. Betsy Dotterer of Joyner Fine Properties is the selling agent.

Dotterer said she could not disclose information about the sale before it is closed. The timeframe for that is detailed in the contract, the contents of which are considered confidential.

Cathy Noonan of Long & Foster, who represented the McDonnells in the transaction, said she could not talk about the contract other than to confirm a sale is pending.

“At this point, buyer and seller have agreed on price, closing date and what the contingencies are,” Noonan said, noting such contingencies could relate to financing, home inspection and homeowners association disclosures.

Noonan said she could not say whether the sale will close at the original listing price.

“That’s part of our confidentiality duties,” she said.

The house was listed last Wednesday at $944,000.

Noonan said she found the buyer on her second showing of the home on Friday.

The nearly 6,000-square-foot, two-level home is located at 5913 Leabrook Way in Wyndham’s Cherry Hill neighborhood. Built in 1997, the house features six bedrooms, 5½ bathrooms and accessibility features such as a no-step entrance, a ramp to a rear deck and wider doors and lower light switches.

The McDonnells purchased the property in 2006 for $835,000. A recent county assessment valued the property at $813,800.
