A new music-themed coffee shop near VCU has made its debut.
Classic Rock Coffee opened for business May 9 at 1322 W. Broad St.
It’s the first location for the franchised brand to open in Virginia. It has two other locations open in the U.S., three open outside the U.S., and 12 other locations in the works, according to its website.
David Monis owns the Richmond franchise and said the early days of Classic Rock Coffee’s local launch have been a success.
“People like our brand,” he said.
As its name implies, the company incorporates classic rock music and décor in stores.
In addition to coffee drinks, the shop sells salads, sandwiches, pastries and smoothies. It’s open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
