The hotel-focused real estate investment trust reported its second quarter earnings. Net income totaled $44.2 million, up from $43.7 million the same quarter of 2014. The company also announced it completed its acquisition of a Courtyard by Marriott hotel in California. The $54 million purchase is one of three acquisitions the company announced in July. The total value of the hotels is $103 million.

The packaging giant reported its second quarter earnings, representing the condensed consolidated incomes of MeadWestvaco and Rock-Tenn Co. before the two companies merged to form WestRock on July 1.
