Martin released the latest installment of its “Count On” campaign for Geico. Called “Tip,” the 30-second spot stars McGruff the Crime Dog, the animated mascot of National Crime Prevention Council. Martin also launched “Kangaroo,” a pair of 15- and 30-second spots for Comfort Flex Fit Boxer Briefs. The spots debut March 13 during the NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Tournament and will air throughout the year.
Martin launched a campaign for new client Sling TV with the release of “We Are Slingers,” a 30-second clip that will run on TV, digital, mobile, social, out-of-home and new media platforms. Martin will manage strategic planning, creative development and production for the live TV streaming service.

The firm completed a search engine optimization audit for Carreras Jewelers’ website and provided SEO consulting to Richmond-based Smitherwood Insurance. It’s developing web content for Norfolk-based Homes.com and working with Pacific Crest Group, a California-based human resources and accounting firm, on a monthly newsletter and online content.
Elevation worked with Cream Studio to develop a brand video for Virginia Credit Union. The 45-second piece features stop-motion animation of different wallets and their contents to illustrate services provided to credit union members. The video will be used online and in social media and internal communications.
Burford Advertising picked up four new clients. The agency is rebranding and creating marketing materials and videos for Benefinder, a Bon Air-based health insurance consultant. It’s working on ad campaign for Tidewater-based Chartway Federal Credit Union, and it’s working on rebrands for Virginia Marble Manufacturers in Lunenburg County and locally based Brass Beds of Virginia.
Colab hired Phil Barbato as a front-end developer and Anika Sarin as a graphic designer. Barbato previously worked at Punch and has more than 15 years of web development experience. Sarin was previously at architecture firm 3north and is a VCU graduate.
