Kinsale Capital Group (KNSL)
The company appointed Diane Schnupp as chief information officer, effective July 1. Schnupp, 53, most recently served as principal consultant at Impact Makers, a locally-based IT consulting company where she’d been since 2016.

Director Fred Russell sold 3,000 shares at $88.51 apiece for a total of approximately $265,000. Russell still own more than 38,000 shares.

Village Bank & Trust Financial (VBFC)
Kenneth Lehman, the bank’s largest shareholder, added to his holding by acquiring 695 shares at $33.05 apiece and an additional 1,090 shares at $33.49 per share for a total buy of approximately $59,000. He now owns 719,214 shares of the company’s stock, which is just shy of 50 percent of its outstanding common stock. Lehman resigned from Village’s board of directors last year.

Universal Corp. (UVV)
The tobacco company has changed the date for its annual shareholders meeting to Aug. 28. It will be held at its Richmond headquarters at 9 a.m.
