Chick-fil-A is staying busy on Broad Street.
The fried chicken chain got a new landlord last month at its location at 4920 W. Broad St. across from Willow Lawn, as the building sold for $5.1 million, Henrico County records show.
Meanwhile, about 12 miles west, the company opened its first Goochland spot at 12586 Broad Street Road on Thursday, June 22.
The Willow Lawn deal, which county records show closed in early May, followed Chick-fil-A signing a new 15-year-lease on the property, where it has been since 2016. The new owner is an entity tied to William Levine of Phoenix, Arizona. Levine couldn’t be reached for comment. The seller was an entity based in Colonial Heights.
The 4920 W. Broad St. parcel was most recently assessed by Henrico at $3 million. S.L. Nusbaum’s Carter Wells and Doug Aronson brokered the deal.
The restaurant is also in the process of renovating the drive-thru operation at 4920 W. Broad St. on the north side of the property near West Marshall Street. A Chick-fil-A spokesperson said they’re early in that process and are working with the city to approve plans for the expansion.
Chick-fil-A also has a second, non-drive-thru location in a retail strip within Willow Lawn. That store was not part of this latest sale.
Out in Goochland, the county’s first Chick-fil-A opened near the intersection of West Broad and State Route 288. It’s the chain’s 26th location in the Richmond region and will be operated by local franchisee Rob Preservati, who also owns the Short Pump Crossing Chick-fil-A at 3380 Pump Road.
Chick-fil-A also recently opened a location in the James Center downtown and is planning another new location on Nine Mile Road in Eastern Henrico.

Why is Chick-fil-a working with Richmond? The City’s jurisdiction barely goes west of Staples Mill when North of Broad St. and this location is entirely within Henrico County.
In the US, Chick-fil-a has greater sales than McDonalds and is open 6 days versus 7 days.
Too bad it went woke. There are better chicken places out there
