A crowd of more than 300 got an inside glimpse last week of a former Regency department store’s ongoing transformation into a “pickleball paradise.”
BizSense and presenting sponsor Sands Anderson hosted the year’s final Hard Hat Happy Hour on Wednesday evening at Performance Pickleball RVA, a massive pickleball facility taking shape in one of the West End mall’s old Macy’s buildings.
The venue will feature 18 courts, including 12 indoor and six outdoor, and a vending area and pro shop. Performance Pickleball is run by a group including Thalhimer CEO Lee Warfield and former Richmond Flying Squirrels broadcaster Jon Laaser.
