While I understand that part of the subscription model is that past articles are gated, it feels like a miss in this particular case to have today’s top story be a highlight of the Top 10 articles of 2023–but almost all are gated due to their publish dates.
Hi Megan, How about paying for good, local journalism? I’d spend double what I’m already paying to access BizSense. Best web site in town. It’s amazing all of the coverage here that never makes it to the Times Dispatch.
I second this sentiment. By far the only one I read I barely read the times dispatch I still read it just stuff on the airport and a few other tid bits on things. Virginia business is another one I pay for that I really enjoy. Other than that I agree with you 100 percent.
Hi Jim. I agree with you, and I would happily support a subscriptions tier that made sense for the more casual reader like me. That said, I stand by my feedback in the specific case of their year end listicles.
