A two-year-old Tuckahoe neighborhood market is already looking to expand with a spot south of the river.
Supper Club is planning to open a location in early 2025 at The Promenade at Winterfield, a mixed-use development in the Midlothian area of Chesterfield County, according to co-founder Carlisle Bannister.
The new Chesterfield Supper Club plans to introduce a deli counter where customers can buy sandwiches made on the spot. The new offering will join the prepared meals, butcher-cut meats, baked goods and seafood that Supper Club is known for at its original store at at 417 N. Ridge Road in the Tuckahoe Shopping Center.
“Youโre going to come in and see all the same items that are available (at the original location), except we are going to offer an upscale, made-to-order deli,” Bannister said. “I think it fits with our concept well. It gives people another reason to come into the store.”
The new store is also expected to carry a wider selection of beer and wine than is available at the location in western Henrico, Bannister said.
Bannister, who was formerly a chef at Upper Shirley Vineyards, co-founded Supper Club with wife Christy Dobrucky. Bannister manages Supper Club and Dobrucky is the owner.
They’ll open the new store in a 3,800-square-foot space at The Promenade that fronts Midlothian Turnpike. The center at 14010-14030 Winterfield Lane sits at the intersection of the turnpike and Winterfield Road, and across from the Publix-anchored Charter Colony shopping center.
Bannister estimated that the buildout of the Midlothian space would be more than $1 million.
Bannister said the company is expanding to Midlothian based on his wifeโs familiarity with the area, which they feel has similar demographics. He said Supper Club has also created a following from customers in western Chesterfield, and will be able to serve them closer to home with the new location.
“My wife Christy lived in the Midlothian, Powhatan area for 20 years and she knows the area really well. I grew up in the city and out here where the current Supper Club is, so I didn’t know the demographics as well as she did,” Bannister said.
Supper Club doesn’t plan to sell its fried chicken at the Midlothian outpost, and will instead focus on sandwiches. The company will continue to sell its house-made fried chicken at the Tuckahoe store, which Bannister said is doing a good business a little over two years since it first opened.
“The Tuckahoe spot has exceeded our expectations,” Bannister said. “We knew it would be successful, but we’re doing fantastic over here and have great support in this neighborhood.”

Hope they’re able to take advantage of the high walkability behind them down Winterfield Road. Plenty of apartments, condos, townhomes and SFH’salong that stretch.
Walkable for some neighborhoods but definitely not “highly walkable”.
This sounds like a wonderful addition to our area. Looking forward to being a customer!
Excited about this! Can’t wait to enjoy!
So glad that Christy and Carlisle have found the right spot in our neck of the woods for their next location. If you haven’t been to the current location, you are missing out! ๐
There’s a huge market for something like this in the Western Chesterfield / Hull Street corridor as well.
Love that the Supper Club is coming to our area. Wonderful food.
