The Innsbrook Shoppes are getting a new look.
Innsbrook Today Magazine reports that the center is receiving a remodel that will cost more than $300,000. The work, which includes new awnings, a coat of paint and lighting fixtures, is underway. The image to the left shows what the center will look like when finished.
Several years ago, the shopping center, built in the late 1980s, was painted in a full spectrum of colors to freshen its appearance.
“It was time to upgrade to a more modern look to position the shopping center as a dining and entertainment destination,” said center owner and original Innsbrook developer Sidney Gunst.
“The renovation is in keeping with the quality and standards of Innsbrook while at the same time being able to offer the best location for retail at one of the most competitive lease rates to our customers.”
Remodeling should be complete by the end of the summer.

Wow, looks just like every other boring shopping center in the West End. Kudos.
Well that’s a shame. While I rarely head to that part of town, I really liked the color scheme there… unique, fun, vibrant. Like Brett said, now it’s going to look like every other boring shopping center in the West End.
