Sweet Frog Frozen Yogurt is adding another location, this time in Hanover. Plus The Whitlock Group leased a 25,296 square feet of office/warehouse in the West Creek section of Goochland. Plus an office building downtown sold for $7.2 million.

The Docket: Court Roundup for 1.4.11

A jammed packed docket this week. A local engineering firm wants a judgment of $375,000 against the Nature Conservancy. And in a fascinating case, another engineering firm wants its money back from a Richmond non-profit that it says received an enormous donation by an employee who stole those funds from it. Plus, municipalities are going after businesses that are late on business license fees.

A bank is trying to collect more than $2 million on a defaulted note to a moving company magnate plus other collection efforts, including a condo association v. an insurance company. Plus a plaintiff claims she swallowed a piece of glass from a Pepsi. There are no Chesterfield cases this week on account of the snow.

Pipeline: Commercial Real Estate Round Up 12.17.10

Sweet Frog leased 1,480 square feet on Ironbridge Road in Chesterfield. Karen McCarthy bought the 3,024 square-foot office/retail store at 3101 West Cary Street in the City of Richmond for $480,000. Plus the Salvation Army leased 111,259 square feet at 8080 AMF Drive in Hanover County.

Lots of businesses trying to collect unpaid bills, plus an unusually high number of slip and falls (the usual defendants, McDonald’s, Martin’s super market …) And a handful of medical malpractice, including one against a doctor and HCA for operating on the wrong side of the plaintiff’s brain.
