SportsQuest hit with mechanic’s lien

sportsquestgroundsThe company that installed a scoreboard at mega recreation complex SportsQuest has filed a mechanic’s lien, trying to get paid $173,000.

South Dakota-based Daktronics said in the filing that it had a written contract from October 2010.

The company’s lawyer, Neil Lowenstein from the firm Vandeventer Black, did not return several calls over the past two weeks. Lowenstein told the Chesterfield Observer that SportsQuest founder Steve Burton contacted the company soon after the lien was filed.

BizSense previously reported that SportsQuest was not paying all its employees and contractors on time. The business also ended its two-year run with arena football.
