The owner of Michael & Son likes to be seen, and he thinks you will, too.
When Basim Mansour bought the former Wyeth plant near the Diamond last year for $1.9 million, he said he liked the building’s visibility from Interstate 95. He took advantage of that visibility this year, putting up an enormous Michael & Son Services sign.
Now Mansour is looking for a kindred spirit, and recently hung a large “Your name here” banner on the building to lure tenants to the property.
The HVAC and plumbing company occupies about 30 percent of the 273,000-square-foot building and has one other tenant, electrical supply firm Rexcell, in 12,000 square feet.
Brokers Mac Wilson and Franklin Bell with Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer are marketing the rest of the property.
Michael & Son has 70 employees in Richmond.
