Closing out 2019 on a high note, BizSense packed the house last week at The Sauer Center development for our final Hard Hat Happy Hour of the year, presented by Sands Anderson.
A festive crowd showed up in force to get a glimpse at the guts of the old Putney Shoe Co. factory at 2220 W. Broad St., the front side of which is being taken over by local used car giant CarMax.
The ongoing office rehab sits across from the forthcoming Whole Foods store, which anchors the development that eventually will transform the surrounding 36 acres.
Those on hand were treated to a presentation by Sauer Properties Chairman Brad Sauer Sr. and newly installed President Ashley Peace, including an announcement of newly signed tenant SingleStone, which will take a chunk of a neighboring building within Sauer Center.
Enjoy the slideshow above with scenes from the evening shot by photographer Tom Veazey.
And here’s a video from Evanne Armour highlighting the event, the venue and the developer.
Thanks to everyone who attended a Hard Hat Happy Hour this year – the fourth year of these popular quarterly gatherings. The series will continue next year with the goal of highlighting some of the most noteworthy real estate developments in town.
And a special thanks to our sponsors below.
See you next year!
