Elevation and photographer Cade Martin produced portraits of D-Day veterans for the National D-Day Memorial Foundation‘s 75th anniversary “Pass the Flag” campaign.
VCU’s Robertson School of Media and Culture launched its second Camp ADventure, an advertising summer camp, internship and competition that lasts through July 16. The six-week program teaches participants about developing a campaign, building a portfolio and networking with industry professionals. The camp includes support from Chicago-based 9Rooftops Marketing, which is helping to develop new and more inclusive programming.
Advertising Club of Richmond held its annual Richmond Show on June 3. More than 60 awards were presented, with best-in-shows going to The Martin Agency, Yebo and Brandcenter student David Ligon. Ad Person of the Year went to Jessica Collins, assistant professor at VCU’s Robertson School. The virtual event featured a recorded program produced by the club and Alice Blue, with music and sound by Overcoast. Voice actor Paul Schmidt provided narration.
