A small plane owned by Martinair came to a skidding halt Monday at Richmond International Airport after its landing gear collapsed as it was touching down, the airport announced.
The plane, a Beechcraft Baron 58, seats six, but had only two on board, according to RIC spokesman Troy Bell. There were no injuries and airport workers had the incident cleared and the plane removed from the runways within an hour and a half. There was no major damage to the runway.
On board were a Martinair mechanic and pilot, Bell said.
