Some of Richmond’s top female entrepreneurs were honored Thursday by a local business association.
The Richmond chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners held the Enterprising Women of Excellence event at the Omni Hotel downtown. The group handed out four awards, which are listed below.
Annie Ward Love of LoveLines Art was named Student Entrepreneur of the Year.
Entrepreneur of the Year: Ryann Lofchie Wayne for the Frontier Project, a Shockoe Bottom-based consulting company.
Rising Star: Laurie Blakey and Laura Condrey for Pearl’s Cupcake Shoppe, a bakery on Grove Avenue.
Community Leader: Jo Eloise White for Richmond Guardian Angels, a branch of the international nonprofit that promotes neighborhood safety.
Student Entrepreneur of the Year: Annie Ward Love, a sophomore at Henrico High School Center for the Arts who launched LoveLines Art. Love also took home a $2,000 grant to help her startup.
