Richmond loves its restaurants – and the entrepreneurs with the moxie to start them. Here at BizSense, we see every day that our coverage of the local food industry produces some of our most popular stories.
Next month, BizSense is taking the story live with Kitchen Confidential II at the Hippodrome Theater in Jackson Ward. Five dynamic local restaurateurs will explore the challenges of the restaurant scene and dig into what makes certain concepts thrive in Richmond while others flame out. We’ll also hear from our guests about their newest concoctions in business and food.
Last year’s event sold out, so make sure to reserve a spot early. Tickets are $45 in advance and $65 the week of the event, and each ticket includes two drinks and heavy appetizers.
Doors open at 6 p.m. for some lively networking followed by the panel discussion at 7 p.m.
This year’s panelists will include:
Jason Alley, owner of Comfort and Pasture
Aline Reitzer, owner of Acacia and organizer of Richmond Restaurant Week
Ted Santarella, founder of Tarrant’s and the soon-to-open Max’s
Paul Keevil, owner of Millie’s and Lulu’s
The conversation will be moderated by Christine Wansleben, the owner/instructor of the Mise en Place cooking school in Shockoe Slip.
Brown Distributing’s “Taste the Local” initiative is the event’s presenting sponsor, and participating sponsors include Auto-Chlor, Virginia Linen Service, Bandazian and Holden, and Checkright. If your business would like to become a sponsor, email [email protected].
