If warm weather has you putting off your to-do list, make sure to get one thing checked off: Generosity Inc.
BizSense is working hard to compile its second annual list for Generosity Inc., a recognition of the philanthropy of local businesses.
The list gathers information from both locally based and out-of-town firms with local operations to tally their charitable giving during 2014.
The deadline for submissions is April 3. But help us get a head start on crunching the numbers by filling out a survey now.
Dozens of firms have already submitted their information, including banks, car dealers, investment firms, healthcare companies, law firms, startups and accounting firms.
If you haven’t already done so, please consider making it a point of pride to be listed among your competitors and to display your company’s good deeds and the impact they have on the nonprofit community.
It doesn’t matter if your company has given millions or a couple hundred dollars.
The purpose of this list is not for bragging rights (although a little recognition for giving back never hurt anyone), but to create a comprehensive illustration of the region’s generosity and how donations travel from for-profits to nonprofits.
If you’ve previously applied to any BizSense List over the past few years, there’s no need to fill out a new survey. Our researcher has likely already contacted you to get any information we need.
If you have not been on a BizSense List in the past, please follow this link to have someone from your firm complete the brief survey.
This year’s participants will be honored at an event on April 16 at Maymont. More details on the celebration will be available in the coming weeks.
Again, the deadline for participation in Generosity Inc. is April 3. The list will be published April 6, and we hope to make this year’s the biggest yet.
