The hotel-focused real estate investment trust filed its first quarter earnings report for 2015. Net income totaled $43.8 million, compared to a first quarter loss of $94.4 million last year

During the quarter, the company sold 18 of its hotel properties for $206 million and recognized a gain on sale of $16 million. In a letter to stakeholders included with the report, the company states it has contracts to purchase four hotels with a combined purchase price of $127 million. The company went public on the New York Stock Exchange. Last month.
