Snag another award

snagajobSnagAJob.com is one of the nation’s best small businesses to work for, according to the Society of Human Resource Management.

SnagAJob, which runs an online job board that matches hourly workers with positions at companies like 7-Eleven, landed the number three position on the list.  This is the second year in a row that the company has been honored.

“We’re excited, yet humbled a little bit, to be honored again this year,” said Greg Moyer, chief people officer at SnagAJob.com in a statement.

“To be named one of the nation’s best companies to work for in a year of trying economic conditions reflects on our exceptional employees, who continue to make SnagAJob.com a fulfilling and rewarding career experience.”

Employees at SnagAJob.com receive competitive benefits including three weeks paid vacation, medical and dental coverage, a 401K and $3,000 education reimbursement, according to a press release.

The company also touts other benefits such as dry cleaning pickup, a casual work environment and a fitness program.

The company has received many accolades in recent years including the Small Business Administration’s Small Businessperson of the Year award to Shawn Boyer, the company CEO, an honor that brought Boyer and the company’s upper management to Washington to meet President Bush in 2008.

BizSense  reported earlier this summer that growth at SnagAJob has slowed. In December the company had 140 employees, and that number is around 120 today. Still the company continues to branch into new areas and reports that revenue and sales are up.
