BizSense’s annual ranking of the fastest-growing companies in Richmond is back for its fifth year.
Applications for the popular RVA 25 list are now open at this link.
The list, to be published Sept. 25, will highlight 25 local businesses that are on a growth spurt and keeping the local economy strong. The deadline for applications is Aug. 18.
Like previous years, the latest rankings will be calculated from average annual revenue growth from 2014-2016.
As always, it’s free to participate and the list is open to established and up-and-coming companies. Applicants must be based in Richmond, have been in business during the three-year period and have a minimum of $500,000 in annual revenue in 2016.
The program, which also includes an invite-only celebration of the 25 firms in early October, is presented by Sands Anderson.
Applicants must simply fill out the brief survey and submit supporting financial documents to local accounting firm Keiter, which tabulates the percentages used in the final rankings.
Financial documents will not be shared with Richmond BizSense or anyone else. Only the final ranking percentage will be shared with the public. Applicants also have the option of publicly sharing their 2016 annual revenue on the list.
This competitive list over the years has highlighted big names like Sweet Frog and Ledbury, and companies under the radar that are quietly growing through the roof.
Last year’s fastest-growing company was WealthForge, an online broker-dealer linking entrepreneurs with accredited investors. It boasted 455 percent revenue growth over the three years. We look forward to another eclectic group of high risers this year.
Please contact BizSense with any questions about RVA 25, the application or the event. The deadline for applications is Aug. 18, so please don’t hesitate to begin the process.
And please keep in mind: Dozens of companies will apply but only 25 will make the cut. If you don’t make it this year, we encourage you to keep the growth going strong and try again next year.
