The renovation of a shuttered porn shop on North Boulevard has stripped the space down to its skivvies, exposing what store probably looked like back in its heyday.
Here’s what it looked like a few months ago:
Charlie Diradour, president of local firm Lion’s Paw Development, bought the building in September after the Triangle Book Store shut down. BizSense reported then that Diradour would rehab the 1,300-square-foot space and look to land a small restaurant or coffee shop as a tenant.
And Diradour and his firm wasted little time transforming the five-decade-old shop.
The building was constructed as a Texaco gas station in the 1950s. In became a massage parlor in the 1970s and eventually morphed into an adult bookstore that closed last summer.
Diradour bought it out of foreclosure for $225,000.
