It was another packed house at the latest installment of BizSense’s quarterly Hard Hat Happy Hour series, held Wednesday evening at the former Symbol Mattress factory site in Scott’s Addition.
The party was thrown in the future home of Dominion Payroll, which is anchoring the third floor of the Symbol development’s 60,000-square-foot, under-construction commercial section.
The building’s rounded east wing offered views of broader Scott’s Addition in one direction, and the site’s 202 apartments under construction looking north.
Guests heard from Dominion Payroll CEO David Gallagher and Taylor Williams of Spy Rock Real Estate, which is developing the $33 million project with Washington, D.C.-based Holladay Corp. They’re aiming for completion by early next year.
Commercial tenants already have begun to move in, including restaurant Brenner Pass and retailer Jackson & James.
Its other tenants include IT firm Impact Makers, the corporate office for urgent care chain BetterMed, the Richmond office of engineering firm Michael Baker International, and offices for Strategic Staffing Solutions and real estate company 37th Parallel.
BizSense is at work pinning down a site for the next Hard Hat Happy Hour, to be held in September. Feel free to drop us a line if you have an idea for a venue.
And thanks to our presenting sponsor Sands Anderson and all the other Hard Hat sponsors:
