A quick note to all current and prospective subscribers to BizSense Pro, our premium data subscription service:
We’ve heard from folks in recent weeks about issues you’ve encountered when trying to subscribe, mainly that the system would throw an error message at you after entering your credit card info and therefore not letting you complete the deal.
Last week our tech guys got to the bottom of it and found there was a disconnect between the third-party program that processes the credit card transactions and our backend system that houses all the BizSense Pro data that you all rely on.
Everything has been fixed and the system is working as it should.
If you’re among those that hit this roadblock, we apologize for the hassle and hope you’ll consider going back in and giving it another shot.
Feel free to drop us a line if you have any questions. Our research editor, Linda Dunham, is happy to help. She’s at [email protected].
And for those who aren’t familiar with BizSense Pro, here’s a synopsis:
– It’s a system we launched in 2011 to give subscribers access to valuable data that’s used for leads, reference and to have an edge on the competition.
– The offering include Breaking Ground, our twice-monthly building permits report; The Docket, a weekly roundup of business-related court cases from around the region; DeedBook, our twice-monthly list of local real estate transfers; New Business Licenses rundown on Fridays; and the Monday Foreclosures list.
– Each section is fully searchable, so, for example, you can find every instance of a particular local contractor being sued for not paying its subs.
– Each section can be downloaded into an Excel spreadsheet, where you can sort by any data set you need (for example, a salesperson can sort by ZIP code when going after new business).
– There’s also The List, a twice-monthly ranking of the top firms in Richmond’s most important industries. These popular reference guides come in three formats: printer-friendly PDF, sortable Excel and standard HTML.
– Access to all the data is offered in an annual subscription for companies with 10 employees or more for $500 per year, or $250 for companies with fewer than 10 employees.
– If you just want to buy a single list, we have one-time passes at $50.
