A Monument Avenue home that sold this summer for $1.5 million is up for sale again, this time with a higher asking price.
The nearly 6,000-square-foot Colonial Revival-style house at 1812 Monument Ave. was listed for $2.29 million in late November.
Tiffany Stevens of Coach House Realty has the listing. She could not be reached for comment about the timing of the listing, which comes just months after the five-bedroom, 5½-bathroom house sold in June for $1.53 million.
City property records show the June buyer was Kevin J. Kennedy Sr., who in 2015 sold a Rocketts Landing condo that film director Steven Spielberg eyed during the filming of “Lincoln.” Kennedy also worked with Stevens on that listing when she was with Keller Williams Realty.
The most recent city assessment valued the property at $1.83 million.
Kennedy purchased the Monument home from architect Joseph Yates and Jackie Jackson, a principal at a business management consultancy. They had owned the 0.2-acre property since 2000 and listed it with Ceci Amrhein-Gallasch and Bill Gallasch of Joyner Fine Properties with an asking price of $1.95 million.
The listing was later picked up by One South Realty Group’s Patrick Sullivan, who represented the sellers in the June transaction.
The house was built in 1925 and has undergone renovation to include an updated HVAC system, plumbing and electrical. It sits on a double lot in the Fan. It has hardwood flooring throughout, granite countertops, French doors, bay windows, an elevator and a four-car carriage house. The lot also has room for off-street parking.
The house is the latest to be listed in Richmond with a multimillion-dollar price. In October, the 11,700-square-foot mansion at 1224 Rothesay Circle near Windsor Farms was listed at $3.75 million.
Note: This story has been updated to mention Patrick Sullivan with One South Realty Group was the listing agent when the house sold in June.
