The third leg of an out-of-town bank’s entry into Richmond is complete.
Christiansburg-based StellarOne Bank this month opened its third local branch at the corner of Gayton and Gaskins roads.
The bank began renovations at 9605 Gayton Road in January after leasing the property from Gayton Crossing Office Park LLC. Equity Real Estate Corp manages the 1,500-square-foot property.
The standalone branch gives the $3 billion bank visibility at the busy intersection across from the Gayton Crossing Shopping Center.
J.A. Heisler Contracting Co. is handled the build-out.
StellarOne opened its first local branch in August at Libbie and Patterson avenues.
In late March, it opened at 11450 Robious Road in Chesterfield, a property it purchased from Midlothian-based Village Bank & Trust.
