Marketed as “an indoor wonderland,” the 55,000-square-foot venue consists of an 18-lane duckpin bowling alley, an 18-hole mini golf course, three virtual golf bays, three bars, a food hall with six restaurants, a beer garden area with 30 self-pour taps, a 200-person banquet hall and a 200-seat auditorium.
The social media giant just paid $35 million for 475 additional acres in the White Oak Tech Park, where it already operates more than 2 million square feet of data center space.
“I don’t know that there’s anything like it in Richmond, honestly,” buyer Murry Pitts said of the building’s modern-design condo. “And the rooftop is something out of New York magazine.”
“They’re really hellbent on wanting to do something with this mall,” said Verseau Bistro owner Cheryl Wittman. “Just listening to mall management and how they seem excited about the new investment firm taking over, how great would it be if the mall turned around and I’m on the ground floor of it?”
The city’s Commission of Architectural Review greenlit Bank Street Advisors’ design. Virginia Credit Union’s plan for an ATM at a forthcoming branch up the street also got a thumbs up.
“The Glen Allen location serves a bunch of nice clubs north of the river and there’s a lot untouched on this side,” said Zachary Martin, who runs the new shop at 11615 Midlothian Turnpike.

Pure Green is the latest chain to sign on at the Publix-anchored shopping center, its first location in Virginia.
“We weren’t ready to extend another lengthy lease over there,” owner Jay Bayer said. “I feel good about what all we accomplished. I feel like we’ve done everything we’ve set out to do.”
