Aw Shucks Country Store on Pouncy Tract Road in Goochland has been up and running for the last three weeks. The store combines a restaurant, gas station, car wash.
Puck’s Gourmet Co., an online gourmet shop was recently launched by Todd and Amy Mungo, a co-founder of the Frontier Project. Puck’s sells all-natural peanut butter, biscotti, chocolate, and several kinds of granola.
The BlueGoat started carrying five Dogfish Head beers on tap at its Grove Avenue restaurant Dec. 19.
The Local Eatery and Pub received its liquor license Dec. 2 and is now serving up eight beers on tap such as Guinness, Kilkenny, Newcastle, and a Guinness cream ale.
Amour Wine Bistro is serving a six course menu for New Years Eve.
The three owners of Carytown restaurant Mezzanine have split up. The restaurant is now solely owned by chef Todd Johnson. Patrick Stamper and Randy O’Dell, the other two partners, have left to take full ownership of Fan restaurant BellyTimber Tavern.

Major Willy Mayo’s took over the old Stool Pigeon’s location, which closed last year. The sports bar, which plans to open early next month, will serve burgers, gourmet macaroni and cheese, milkshakes and have 32 brews on tap.
Fruit and veggie vending machine franchise Fresh Health Vending has hit Richmond. Two locations are already in place and 10 more vending machines are set for its launch next month.
525, the first restaurant to go inside the Berry Burk Building on East Grace Street, is slated to open this spring. It will serve lunch and dinner with a small plates menu, seafood, burgers, as well as brunch.
Dora’s Brazilian Grill on East Cary Street in the Slip closed its doors earlier this month.
Peacock’s Pantry, a gourmet bistro opened this month in the former Mainstream location on West Main Street in the Fan. The restaurant is open Thursday through Sunday for dinner and brunch.
Celtic-themed sports bar franchise The Tilted Kilt is slated to open in Prince George next month.
Adding to the swirling fro-yo market in Richmond, Beriberry will soon open its first location in Commons Plaza in Chesterfield.
Pasture, a new restaurant serving Southern food, opened near the end of last month in the old Montaldo’s space on East Grace Street. Owner Ry Marchant of Six Burner in the Fan and Jason Alley of Comfort restaurant partnered up to open the place.
Bombolini Pasta, opened in the Fan on West Main Street Dec. 19. The shop serves a variety of pasta, sauces as well cooked pasta dishes to go.
