Thalhimer had purchased the 66-unit complex out of foreclosure 10 years ago for $2 million. The buyer is out of Massachusetts.
The 66-unit project is one of three in the neighborhood for Enterprise Community Development, which also converted the nearby Highland Park Public School building.
The owners of the neighboring Stella’s Grocery and over a dozen other local food spots are still weighing their plans for the space on Lafayette Street.
The two projects, from Shamin Hotels and Sina Hospitality, are being driven by industrial growth near Richmond International Airport and sports tourism in Chesterfield, their CEOs said.
